I can’t believe the amount of support and feedback we’ve received about our new venture. Our post on the local website Home in Henderson attracted a lot of attention. A few examples: I’ve been stopped by a passing driver on Garnett Street as Ellen and I were walking around checking out our new location when they recognized us and screamed out their window asking where we were going to be at. I’ve even had a meeting in the bathroom of the Ichibar with a customer wondering where we are now because they need someone reliable to work on their computer after the previous company we worked with lost all their data. The countless phone calls and emails prove that we’re doing something right.
We’ve helped switch over numerous customers from their old internet service to new DSL. Some went very smooth and we really weren’t needed, while some were completely messed up, as an example at one customer the new provider had reset all of their equipment before switching it, losing the settings for their security camera system.
We’ve setup new websites and email service for businesses needing a private, lasting email address associated with their company. We helped setup forwarding of the old address to the new, setup multiple accounts on the same computer, and provided assistance in notifying their customers of the new address.
We’ve helped customers navigate the transfer of their website to our service from the old. Cooperation is required from the old service to easily do this, however we are getting no response from them to facilitate this. So we’re having to do it the hard way, which is fine, and we are helping each customer with it all the way.
Without a place to work from at the moment, we have been making do as we can, and I’d like to thank the customers who have understood and allowed us to do our work despite the lack of a shop. I’ve had my own little shop in my house for years which will be moved to our real shop, but recently it has been necessary to meet a few customers in the parking lot at grocery stores from counties away just so we can work on their computer.
In the meantime, we’ve been very busy setting up our new shop on Garnett Street. The old tenant still has equipment to move out, and we’re still waiting to have a few of the utilities turned on and final permits in place, but all that is coming along nicely and we should be able to be open full swing at the New Year. Our new location will be 217 S. Garnett Street. Right beside Soul Delicious, it used to be Kathleen’s Alterations. Our phone number will be (252) 438-4000.
Christmas orders are already starting to come in. We build custom computers for home and business use. A standard fare is to build a workstation for a business that needs it before the year end. But, we also love to build gaming computers for home users. If you’re now looking for something like a Dell XPS or Alienware, give us a chance to put together a quote for you as well. We also sell new laptops, with the majority of our customers preferring either the higher quality HP Compaq Business Notebook series for 14″ and 15″ screens, or the HP ProBook series for 17″ screens. You can not get these notebooks at a retail store like Best Buy or Staples.
If you end up getting a new system from somewhere else, bring your old and new computer to us and we can transfer all the old data like documents, pictures, emails, favorites etc over to the new computer. We also can come out to your home or business to help install the new computer, set it up on your internet, business network, server etc as well.
Please get your orders in quick if you are looking for something before year end as it takes time to order the parts and build the systems! Have fun in the upcoming Holidays!
I just clicked on your link from HiH. Everything looks good! I will be contacting you when I need help. Good luck in your new endeavor.
